the daggers voice
After the Daggers got back to winning ways with a superb victory against promotion rivals Dover, I can summarise my emotions in one word: BOOM.
Although I wasn't at the game (looking at the above images, of course I wish I was, but there are plenty more matches to come), my joy when the news filtered through that we scored was just the same. Trust me, regardless of whether I was at Crabble or at my Nan's front room in Canvey Island, I can assure you, the joy at seeing the below image was just the same!
Dover also missed a penalty, but it's about time we had some luck. Hopefully after this, we manage to do well over Christmas. We host Solihull Moors, Braintree home and away then travel to North Ferriby - all struggling sides - but it's not against the top sides that we struggle. It's against the bottom sides, such as Torquay, that we don't have the best of times against. Anyway, hopefully we get as many points as possible, to keep track with the super six at the top.
But until then, we can relax a bit as we have two cup home games before then. Firstly, Heybridge travel in the Essex Senior Cup before Worthing visit on Saturday.
COME ON YOU DAGGERS - I'M PROUD OF YOU!
