the daggers voice
With countless arrivals and departures this summer, the Daggers squad is looking totally unrecognisable from the side which began last campaign. Infact, of the 11 players who started the last game of last season at Bristol Rovers, only one player - Andre Boucaud - played against Southport on August 6th. While some players have left in search of better things, others were forced to drop down to non-league in search of regular football. So, with that in mind, here's an update on how the Daggers of last season are getting on now.
Liam O'Brien (Free Agent)
After his release from Daggers at the end of the season, Liam O'Brien is still without a club and may have to look into non-league for one. He possesses an England U19 cap and is still only young so shouldn't be unemployed for too long.
Josh Passley (Free Agent)
Another player currently without a team, Passley was one of Daggers key players last season and his release came as a real shock. But, being able to play right-back or as a right-winger, he should be a real asset for his next employers.
Jack Connors (Ebbsfleet United)
Rep of Ireland u21 international Connors expressed his disappointment at being released in the summer. He has since linked up with National League South side Ebbsfleet for whom he has made five league appearances.
Nyron Nosworthy (Free Agent / Retired)
In January 2016 I saw an unofficial story which stated Nosworthy had retired from football midway through the season. Although this wasn't confirmed by the club, he never played a game since so has probably retired.
Clevid Dikamona (Football Bourg-en Bresse Peronnas - France)
After his release, Dikamona has gone back to France to join Football Bourg-en Bresse Peronnas but is yet to make an appearance. The 26 year-old Congo international will be hoping to revive a career which saw some top clubs chasing him not so long ago.
Ashley Chambers (Grimsby Town)
Chambers has made just one appearance for newly-promoted League 2 side Grimsby Town who signed him in the summer for a second spell at Blundell Park. He impressed in pre-season for the Mariners.
Zavon Hines (Free Agent / Retired)
Him and Murphy formed a great partnership in the 2013/14 season, but his time here - and ultimately his career - was put paid to by a recurring knee injury. It is a sorry end as, had it not been for injuries, he might be playing in the Premier League now.
Christian Doidge (Forest Green)
I am Joel Page, Dagenham & Redbridge FC fan. Here I will share some of my experiences.
